Description of Significance THE SEILING MILLING COMPANY COMPLEX INCLUDES A MILL BUILDING, A TWO-STORY ENGINE ROOM, A CONCRETE COOLING TANK, A WOOD FRAMED ELEVATOR, A WORKSHOP, FEED ROOM, GRAIN STORAGE TANK, AND A SCALE ROOM. THE ORIGINAL BUILDING WAS CONSTRUCTED IN 1917, WITH OTHER BUILDINGS ADDED BETWEEN 1917 AND 1937. IN THE EARLY 1930S, THE ORIGINAL MILL BUILDING AND ENGINE ROOM WERE STUCCOED, WHILE THE ELEVATOR AND GRAIN STORAGE TANK WERE COVERED IN METAL SHEETING. THE MILL WAS IN OPERATION UNTIL 1952. THE ORIGINAL MILLING EQUIPMENT, DATING TO 1918 THROUGH 1935, PROVIDES TECHNICAL INFORMATION ABOUT MILLING WITH STEAM, GAS, AND EARLY DIESEL FUEL. LISTED IN NATIONAL REGISTER 12/8/83.
